Prepare Terms & Conditions

1. General Information 

Prepare is organised by the Jersey College for Girls Foundation (“The Foundation”, “we”, “”us, or "our”). 

Prepare is open to both local and international students studying for GCSE and A Level exams in the Summer session of the same academic year, and in respect of A Level exams, also for the following academic year. You must adhere to all rules, policies, and procedures outlined in this document and communicated to you during Prepare. 

2. Code of Conduct 

You must:

  • Notify us as soon as reasonably practical if you are not going to attend and refunds will only be given according to the terms of Clause 4.
  • Treat fellow participants, staff, guest speakers and property with respect, and follow instructions given by us
  • Refrain from engaging in bullying, harassment, or inappropriate or rude behaviour to fellow participants, staff and guest speakers
  • Abide by our rules on the use of mobile devices, social media and respecting the privacy of others
  • Abide by our rules on prohibited items, which include but are not limited to: weapons, illegal substances, and alcohol
  • Parents and guardians must instill the importance of good behaviour during Prepare 


Any breach of the Code of Conduct may result in:

  • Warnings issued to you
  • Where we decide that your continued prescence is incompatible with the interests of Prepare, you will be immediately removed from the programme without a refund, at our sole discretion and subject to the terms of Clause 4. 

3. Payment of Fees

All session fees must be paid in full prior to the start date of Prepare and according to those provisions in Clause 4. Fees are the responsibility of the person who has parental responsibility for the participant. 

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy 

If you cancel your booking, the following refund policy applies:

  • Cancellation up to 30 days before the start date: 30% refund
  • Cancellation less than 30 days before the start date: No refund I


f you are unable to attend on the day of your session due to illness, travel disruption or any other reason no refunds will be issued. 

No refund will be provided if you are removed from Prepare due to a breach of the Code of Conduct or failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions. 

No refund will be given for partially attended sessions. 

5. Health and Safety

You must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, or special requirements during the registration process or subsequently if they arise after the registration process by email to enquiries@jcgfoundation.com 

 You must inform us if you have been in contact with any infectious diseases, and must comply with exclusion guidelines set by Health and Social Services with details available on https://www.gov.je/Health/IllnessVaccine/Pages/InfectiousDiseases.aspx

You must carry any necessary medications and provide clear instructions for their use. 

You must not attend Prepare if you are unwell and must inform us as soon as possible of any such absence. In such circumstances, no refund will be given. 

In case of a medical emergency, we will make reasonable efforts to contact parents/guardians immediately. If we cannot establish contact, we have permission to seek necessary medical attention for the participant, including emergency medical treatment, surgery, and/or general anaesthetic if certified as necessary by a doctor. 

We have a zero-tolerance policy for behaviour that jeopardizes the safety of others. 

All accidents notified to us will be documented and reported to parents/guardians. 

6. Liability

 We will take reasonable precautions to ensure your safety and wellbeing, but cannot be held liable for accidents, injuries, damage to or loss of personal property, unless caused by gross negligence on our part. In particular, we are not responsible for the supervision of students outside of session contact hours. 

You are encouraged to avoid bringing valuable items to Prepare. We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. 

We undertake to maintain insurances prescribed by the law. 

7. Use of Images and Media

By enrolling in Prepare and ticking the relevant box at registration, you consent to the use of photographs or videos of participants for promotional and educational purposes as set out in the application form. 

If you do not wish for your child’s image to be used, please tick the relevant box in the application form.

8. Data Protection Clause

We respect your privacy and protect your personal data in accordance with applicable laws. Any information collected is used only for providing and improving our services. We do not sell or share your data with third parties, except as required by law or to trusted partners who help operate our services under strict confidentiality. We implement security measures to safeguard your data and retain it only as long as necessary. You have the right to access, updated, or delete your personal information.

9. Force Majeure 

We shall not be held responsible for cancellation or disruptions caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, pandemics, or government restrictions. In such cases, refunds or rescheduling will be considered on a case-by-case basis. 

In the event of closure due to severe weather, you will be contacted by us. 

10. Amendment of Terms and Conditions 

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. You will be notified of significant changes, and continued participation in Prepare constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. 

11. Acknowledgement

By enrolling in Prepare, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. 

Failure to comply with these Terms and Conditions may result in dismissal from Prepare without a refund. 

12. Law 

This agreement is governed by the laws of Jersey. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Jersey.
